On May 27, we stepped into the high-tech film stretching workshop of Zhejiang YUYUE New Materials Co., Ltd., located in Ma’an Subdistrict. Inside this "100-billion-level" project, intelligent production lines are humming at full speed — producing meters of crystal-clear optical film every minute.

Since ignition in mid-February, two smart lines are fully operational, with an annual output capacity of 70,000 tons. These high-performance films are now being shipped to Europe, Southeast Asia, and beyond. According to Deputy General Manager Mr. Hu Hailin, production is running smoothly, achieving daily output values in the millions of RMB. With four more lines on the way, total capacity will soon reach 240,000 tons annually.

As a core material in LCD displays, NEVs, and photovoltaics, optical films have long been dominated by foreign suppliers. YUYUE is changing the game. Through the breakthrough “melt direct-stretching” technology and a five-reactor continuous process, the company has realized localized mass production of optical-grade polyester film — a strategic leap for China's new materials sector.

The entire manufacturing process is now digitally managed, from raw material input to finished product cutting. A single production line already boasts a per capita output of RMB 10 million, with room to scale 4x as capacity expands.

This transformation reflects the broader ambition of Keqiao District to rejuvenate traditional industries through innovation. By supporting strategic emerging materials and advanced manufacturing, Keqiao is writing a new chapter in high-quality industrial development.
