2024 Global PC Market: Lenovo Maintains Top Position with 23.5% Market Share, ASUS Ranks Fifth!
On January 9, market research firm IDC released its latest report, revealing that global PC shipments in Q4 2024 grew by 1.8% year-over-year, reaching 68.9 million units. For the entire year, global PC shipments totaled 262.7 million pieces, marking a 1% increase compared to 2023. While in 2025, the PC industry faces both challenges and opportunities, creating uncertainty in the future market and complicating demand planning.
In terms of shipment rankings by manufacturers, Lenovo led the market in 2024 with shipments totaling 61.8 million pieces, a year-over-year growth of 4.7%, and a market share of 23.5%. HP secured the second position with 53 million pieces shipped, reflecting a 0.1% year-over-year growth, accounting for 20.2% market share. Dell ranked third, shipping 39.1 million pieces, a 2.2% year-over-year decline, with a 14.9% market share. Apple took fourth place, shipping 22.9 million pieces, up 4.5% year-over-year, holding an 8.7% market share. ASUS rounded out the top five with 17.9 million pieces shipped, representing a 6.4% year-over-year decline and a 6.8% market share.
